The film industry is apparently looking forward to see how the three-film-old star kid's ABCD will withstand competition from K'wood superstar's Singam 2 Mollywood superstar Mammootty's son Dulquer Salmaan is known to not do every film that comes his way. Now, trade sources and industry insiders are waiting to see how the three-film-old Dulquer's American Born Confused Desi (ABCD) will fare, given that Kollywood superstar Suriya— who has a loyal fan following in Kerala —comes to theatres with his super cop avatar in Singam 2. Buzz is that both the films will hit the screens on June 14. A trade source observes, "Dulquer has so far had an impressive run in Mollywood. He was wise enough to make his debut in a newcomer outing, Second Show, rather than flaunt an 'I'm a superstar son' clout. While the film didn't set cash registers ringing at the BO, the actor's choice of a debut was talked well of even by critics," he says, adding, "With his second signing, Usthad Hotel, Dulquer went on to prove that he has inherited not just his father's good looks, but his acting genes too.
