The face of Ekta Kapoor’s show Pavitra Rishta, Ankita has been threatening to quit the serial ever since the show took its first leap. However, Ekta always managed to calm her down with lucrative offers… but not this time.

So what’s the reason for her exit? It’s a known fact that Ankita has Bollywood aspirations, in fact, a lot of B-town biggies have praised her beauty but this time someone has actually offered her a film. Well, it’s none other thanYeh Jawaani Hai Deewani director Ayan Mukherjee.

A source close to Ankita said, “She has auditioned for Ayan but we do not know the details of the film yet.”

“She has put down her papers this time for real but will be shooting with the Pavitra team for at least a month after which the producer and the channel will take a call on the fate of this long running show. Ankita’s exit might also end the serial,” said an industry insider.
