Sangram Indrajit Singh, in Yeh Hai Mohabbatien who plays a negative character has been arrested under the Information Technology Act for allegedly defaming a casting consultant for films and television Soniya Singh.

Sangram and Soniya have been friends in the past. However, recently, the two had a fall out, when the Yeh Hai Mohbbatein actor alleged that she was not providing him with good roles in the industry. After the argument, Sangram used the photo and posted it on the micro-blogging site in order to defame Soniya. However, the woman claims that she was not arrested by the police. In fact, she had gone to a police station for some personal work and Singh had a photo of her at the station.

Besides Sangram, two of his friends, actor-model Karan Arora and Karan Kundra are also being investigated for their involvement in the case. Apparently even they had posted the same image on Twitter, which they obviously deleted later.

Sangram Indrajit Singh, has been arrested under the IT Act.He was produced in the Bandra court on Wednesday and later given bail, a senior police official was quoted.
