Actor Sandesh Gour, who was lasts seen in serials like Pratigya on Star plus and CID on Sony, has acted in a regional film Daai which belongs to Chhattisgarh. The film won critical acclaim in the whole of Chhattisgarh and was successful for 28 consequent days in the theatres of the state. Seeing the huge response to this small budget regional film the makers have now decided to release the film in Nagpur.
Sandesh Gour’s character in the film is named Rocky and has a Grey shade to it. The character is of a rich spoilt brat who lives in a city to study and then returns back to the village. His behavior is unethical and does not respect girls but forces them to be with him. Talking about this Sandesh recollects, “It was an amazing experience to be a part of a film like Daai. Though it’s a regional film I have got a lot of good comments and many people have approached me seeing my performance. In real life I am a very simple guy and shy when it comes to girls. Playing such a negative character was a big challenge as it was just opposite to what I am in real life.”
Produced by Mauli Movie Present and directed by Vijay Gumgaokar, the film also features features, Santosh sarthi, Rashmi Dhongre and Sheetal Nathru in pivotal roles.
The film is slated to release on 4th Jan, in Nagpur.
