Tollywood famous comedian MS Narayana died

Veteran Telugu comedian-actor MS Narayana passed away at a private hospital here today following multi-organ failure. He was 63.

He was admitted to the hospital a couple of days ago after he fell sick while visiting his native village in West Godavari district. He was reportedly suffering from malaria and lung infection. He was in a critical condition and was on ventilator support. On Friday morning, the actor breathed his last.

Narayana worked in over 700 films over four decades, Some of his popular films include "Dookudu," "Baadshah," "Ready" and "Attarintiki Daaredi", among others. His latest film "Pataas" hit the screens on Friday and his upcoming films include "Rey" and "Shankara."

Mylavarapu Surya Narayana was a teacher who took to writing after he witnessed hundreds of deaths in cyclone hit-Andhra Pradesh in 1997. He then moved to acting and became a popular comedian. He has bagged five Nandi awards and a Filmfare award among others.

He is survived by his wife and two children -- son Vikram and daughter Sasikiran.
