Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently launched the 'Clean India Campaign' on the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. Modi, invited celebrities like Kamal Haasan, Salman Khan and Priyanka Chopra for the 'Clean India Campaign.' Now Singam star Suriya has offered his support to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Swachh Bharat campaign, aimed at creating clean India.
In a statement, Suriya said, "Hygiene, sanitation and cleanliness are the need of the hour. Keeping ourselves, our homes and our neighbourhood clean doesn't cost us anything. It helps everyone of us."
Reiterating the importance of providing a cleaner environment for the future generation, the actor said, "Passing on wealth to children is important, but giving them a clean environment to live is even more important."
It may be recalled that Modi invited a string of actors, including Kamal, to support the campaign.
