Recently speaking about the issue He said, “The Telugu-Tamil producer Thyagarajan, has bought the South Indian Rights for two Bollywood films – Neeraj Pandey’s Special 26 and Vikas Behl’s "Queen." He wants me to play the role of Akshay Kumar’s in the Telugu version of Special 26.”

“First, I have to complete the present ongoing film Kick 2. Then I have to start another film entitled Bengal Tiger. Only after completion of these, I will be able to do the remake of Special 26. However, the remake will be different from the original”, he added.

Special 26, is a 2013 Bollywood thriller heist film, Which is directed by Neeraj Pandey. It is the story of gang of thieves, who robs famous businessmen and politicians by posing as Income Tax Officers. The film stars Akshay and Kajal Aggarwal in the lead roles with Manoj Bajpai, Jimmy Shergill and Anupam Kher in supporting roles.
