Simbu and Hansika Motwani's much delayed flick "Vaalu" has finally got a release date. The film will be hitting screens on 24 December as a Christmas treat for the fans.

The film is directed by Vijay Chander.

With this film, Simbu’s two-year long hiatus from Tamil cinema comes to an end his last venture was "Poda Podi", which released in November 2012. While fans have been ruing missing the actor on the silver screens for over two years, Simbu has said that he himself has started to miss him! The actor also revealed that the dubbing process has been going on all through the night and this has fans go berserk with joy. The buzz also indicate that actor Jai will make a special appearance in the film.
