Saswata Chatterjee was last seen in ‘Kahaani’, a suspense thriller, which casted Vidya Balan in the lead. Saswata’s role was of a suspense killer. He was praised a lot for his spectacular performance.

Saswata will be seen next in ‘89’, as a killer, again! However, he said this role will be more complex and darker than the one he played in ‘Kahaani’.

“I did not have to think much doing Bob Biswas in ‘Kahaani’. Here in ’89’, he is far more dark and you can’t read his mind” says Actor.

It is reported that, a lot of mental preparation was done by Saswati, to understand and prepare him for the said role.

"The very name of the thriller ’89’ suggests that there is suspense” says acotr, who hinted that the name of the character and the title of the film are closely related. 

The film is been directed by Manoj Michigan who said that, Saswata’s character has been made after watching several documentaries on serial killers around the world and observation of various serious characters portraying the killer’s role.

The film is set to release in late April.
