According to media sources, leading producer in Tollywood, Suryanarayana Babu, had met Thalaivar Rajinikanth on the sets of Lingaa to discuss a new film venture. The producer had requested for the Superstar’s call sheet to star in a Telugu film along with Aagadu star Mahesh Babu.
It may be mentioned here that the producer had produced a film with Rajini and Mahesh Babu’s dad Krishna in the lead, several years ago.
The last time Rajinikanth was seen in a direct Telugu movie was in Pedarayudu, which hit the screens in 1995. After that, all his films were dubbed and released in Telugu. Therefore, it needs to be seen if the Superstar will agree to sign on the dotted lines.
