Producer Jitendra Patil had his second screening of the film Lapachhapi at the Brooklyn Film festival. The screening was attended by a lot of US Indie filmmakers who sincerely appreciated the efforts of the filmmakers.
Neal Dhand, a filmmaker from Philadephia was quite happy with what he saw. "I really like a lot of things in the film including the storytelling, the camera work and the sound," exclaimed Dhand.
The screening was also attended by some important distributors of Indian and International films from the USA and Latin America, informs the Associate Producer Ramachandran Srinivasan.
Incidentally Lapachhapi had its world premiere at the festival. it was also the official selection at the festival, making it the first
Indian horror at Brooklyn and the first Marathi film ever at Brooklyn since 19 years of its inception.
The film directed by Vishal Furia stars Pooja Sawant, veteran Marathi superstar Usha Naik, and TV heartthrob turned film actor Vikram Gaikwad in stellar roles.
Lapachhapi has story by Vishal Furia, Screenplay & Dialogues by Vishal Kapoor, cinematography by Chandan Kowli, Dinesh Poojari as editor, Satish Bidkar as art director, Deepak Joshi as executive producer, Make up by Subhash Shinde, costumes by Vrushali Kulkarni.
The music of the film has been done by Ranjan Patnaik, Tony Basumatary and Utkarsh Dhotekar with lyrics by Swayeshree
