Tamil Ai and this is coming in Telugu as Manoharudu is a dream project of ace director Shankar. He has been in the process of making the film for more than two years. It has been mainly shot in China. The other locations are Chennai, Pollachi, Jodhpur and Bangkok. The film features Vikram and Amy Jackson in lead roles.

As per latest industry reports, N.V. Prasad of Mega Super Good films has bagged the rights for a whopping Rs 30 crore. Till date, this is the highest price claimed by a Tamil film dubbed in Telugu.

Now, there are reports that the audio release will take place on September 15th in Chennai at Nehru stadium and the event alone is going to cost a whopping Rs 7 crores!

The reason being, it has big guns like Arnold Schwarzenegger, Rajnikanth, Kamal Haasan attending as the chief guests. The cinematography of Ai is handled by PC Sreeram, Oscar winning music composer A R Rahman has scored music for the movie. If this news is true then it will be the costliest audio function that ever took place in Indian cinema.
