The upcoming film ‘Kappal’ which is directed by debutant Karthik G Krish and with this film, Ace filmmaker Shankar is back to film production after a gap of four years, under the banner "S Pictures & I Studios Entertainment."

According to the latest update Kappal has been cleared by the Censor Board with a clean 'U' certificate. It is believed that the censor officials who watched the film were highly appreciative about the whole content of the film.

The film stars Vaibhav of Goa fame and newbie Sonam Bajwa playing the lead roles. Karunakaran, VTV Ganesh, Karthik Priyadarshan and Arjunan of Kadhhaliil Sodhapuvadhu Eppadi play the supporting roles joining in a roller coaster ride of laughter.
The film will be released on December 25, 2014.
