Ace producer AM Ratnam of Sai Ram Creations has recently confirmed that he would be bankrolling superstar Ajith Kumar’s 56th flick.

This venure will be helmed by "Siruthai" fame director Siva.

This film marks the re-union of director Siva and Ajith for the second time, having earlier teamed up for "Veeram", which did a middling business at the box office.

According to the media sources, Ajith 56 team is all set to begin shooting on the first week of February, most likely February 5th, in keeping with Thala’s ‘Thursday Sentiment’. Actor Santhanam will play a comic role in this film. The team is yet to zero in on a suitable female lead for this project. An official announcement is expected soon.
