The much awaited trailer of Kaithi starring Karthi is out and the trailer has racked up almost 2.5 Million hits.

Actor Karthi dropped the trailer on his social media profile. He captioned it, “Here we go, the official trailer of #Kaithi ! We set out to do an edgy film and feels we’ve come close to our vision! Hope you guys like it! #KaithiTrailer - @Dir_Lokesh @itsNarain @sathyaDP @SamCSmusic @DreamWarriorpic #KaithiDiwali”

The trailer is sitting pretty at 2.5 million hits within a day of its release. The action thriller promises a raw action extravaganza.

Actor Karthi plays a life-convict who has completed his jail sentence for ten years after which he manages to escape from the prison and is on the run. We also see a child, Karthi’s daughter who hasn’t seen her father in the last ten years. There are many chasing scenes and Karthi is seen trying to escape in a truck when the cops surround him. And there is tonne of cash involved.

The film is directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, who had earlier made Maangaram, which received critical acclaim.

Music for the film is by Sam CS, Sathyan Sooryan is handling the cinematography and Philomin Raj is handling the editing.
