“Rajkahini is world cinema, made in Bengali”- Saswata Chatterjee

Saswata Chatterjee who enacted as a local Government Official in Srijit Mukherjee’s ‘Rajkahini’ said, “There are some movies which are able to make a mark in Indian film history and ‘RajKahini’ is one of them. I might as well add, Rajkahini is world cinema, made in Bengali. I don’t want to talk much about Rajkahini. Let the audience decide it.” He said at the screening of Rajkahini at the Bengali film festival, Bioscope 2015 held at AbuDhabi. 
Chatterjee who has been praised by the critics, represented the Bengali film industry at the festival along with actress Monami Ghosh and Arindam Sil. Saswata has acted in many Bengali film and earned critical acclamation including portrayal of a Ritwik Ghatak-inspired character in the 2013 film Meghe Dhaka Tara. He enjoyed success at the national level in Sujoy Ghosh's 2012 blockbuster Hindi film, Kahaani, where he played an assassin.
RAJKAHINI, an epic cinematic gem, directed by National Award winning director Srijit Mukherji, set against the backdrop of the declaration of the Radcliffe Line separating India from Pakistan in 1947, the Bengali drama, which released on Friday, is woven around a border between the two nations that runs through a brothel housing 11 women.
The film has an ensemble cast containing eleven major female characters and stars actress Rituparna Sengupta as Begum Jaan, Jisshu Sengupta as Kabir, Saswata Chatterjee as Mr. Prafulla Sen, Abir Chatterjee as Master, Koushik Sen as Mr. Ilias and others.
