Versatile actress Kranti Redkar directorial Marathi debut film Kakan, released their yet another beautiful and impressive poster along with a song.
 
Written and Directed by Kranti Redkar and Producer by Sachin Shinde, “Kakan” hails an awesome star cast such as Jitendra Joshi, Urmila Kanetkar-Kothare, Ashutosh Gaikwad, Ashok Shinde, Madhavi Juvekar.

Kranti is an established actress, but her true calling has always been direction. “Firstly, I am not an actor who wants to act in the movie by obligation, that he/she is directing. These are two different jobs and I don't want to mix them. I am open to consider acting in my own movie but only if the role suits me." Said Kranti, when asked about acting in her directorial debut.
 
 
Urmila Kanetkar is the leading lady of movie, Kranti said, "I could not think of anyone else for this role than Urmila. I wanted a face that can look both young and old at the same time, as my film is a period drama.
 
Urmila fits the bill perfectly. She can be a chirpy young girl at one moment and also can carry an older look with elan in the next shot. And she has done a wonderful job along with Jitendra Joshi."

Kranti was allegedly involved in spot-fixing issue with Sreesanth and certain Sunil from Dubai.
