Karisma Kapoor who has been absent from the big screen for a long time, is now making a debut with the web series 'Mentalhood'. The actress also expressed that first she was not sure about doing the series. It was Ekta Kapoor who insisted her to give a second thought and act again.

Karisma Kapoor was seen interacting with the media at the sidelines of ZEE5 Calender launch for the month of March 2020.

When asked how much she relates herself with the story, on this Karisma said, "I think for every woman, motherhood is very important. But when Ekta approached to me with the script, I was not sure that I wanted to act again. She insisted me, that I should atleast hear once and should give a second thought to it. After hearing it, I found that the story on motherhood was so relevant, that I just couldn't say no.

'Mentalhood' is a story that describes about what every mother goes through in her day to day life. I want to convey my audience, that you are not alone, it's we too who goes through all this every day. The good, the bad, the triumphs and every portion of it, Karisma added."

'Mentalhood' is an upcoming hindi drama created by Ekta Kapoor and produced by Rupali Guha under her banner Film Farm India banner for the online streaming platform ALT Balaji. It is also available on ZEE5. The series also stars Sanjay Suri Sandhya Mridul, Shilpa Shukla, Shruthi Seth and Dino Morea.
