Kalpana Morparia,who is the current CEO of J.P.Morgan,India has been appointed as the independent Director at HUL on October 9, 2014. Morparia is also a member of the J. P. Morgan Asia Pacific Management Committee.

Morparia will be a member of the Audit and Corporate Social Responsibility Committees of the HUL Board.
She was also the Joint Managing Director of the ICICI Group from 2001 to 2007.
 
She is also an independent director at Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Limited, Bennett Coleman & Company Limited, Phillip Morris International Inc. and CMC Limited.
