Yes it’s true, the Turner Broadcasting System Asia Pacific (Turner) has decided to end the business operations of its Hindi general entertainment channel 'Imagine TV', along with its international feed 'Imagine Dil Se' from today i.e. April 12, 2012. When asked about the news Siddharth Jain, MD of South Asia, Turner International India confirmed stating that, “Imagine TV has not performed and grown as per expectations. While some programs delivered satisfactory ratings, overall the channel was unable to achieve the ratings consistency needed to sustain the business and support continued investment. As a result, Turner made the carefully considered decision to cease operations of the channel. We are grateful to the Imagine team, which includes some of the most talented and creative people in the Indian media industry. We will use our best endeavors to make this as smooth a transition as possible for them.” The channel which lagged behind in the TRP race was finally defeated even by the newly launched channel, LifeOK.

The channel has clearly notified the development to all its producers and employees. If it’s the last working day for the channel today then, Imagine TV would be airing re-runs from April 13, 2012.
