
Agrawal is the new CEO of Zee News. He replaces Barun Das, who has put in his papers as CEO. Agrawal’s role has been communicated internally to the team.
Das spent five years with Zee news as its CEO. He moved to Zee News from MCCS (Media Content & Communications Services) where he was Executive VP. He was also Business Head of Star Ananda.
Das has previously worked for the India Today Group. From there he moved to Astro All Asia Network based in Kuala Lumpur, and headed International Business Development. He played a key role in the formation of the joint venture between Astro and NDTV to start news channels in Malaysia and Indonesia. He also created a strategic tie-up with UTV to set up kids’ channels in Malaysia and Indonesia.

Prior to joining Zee News Limited, Agrawal worked with CHEIL as Chief Operating Officer. An alumnus of IIT Kanpur and MBA from IIM Bangalore, Mr. Agrawal comes with rich experience of over 22 years.
