As India will complete its 65th year of independence, Radio Mirchi will treat its listeners with special programme “India ke Radio Postcards” on Independence Day. This special programme will tell its listeners the tales of the freedom fighters. All its stations from North, South, East and West will have their listeners listening to the tales of their respective regions.

The audio postcards chronicle the iconic rebellions and movements of Dandi March in Gujarat, Sepoy Mutiny triggered by Mangal Pandey in Uttar Pradesh, “Simon Go Back” movement in Punjab, Chittagong movement in Bengal, Maulana Azad’s “Quit India” Movement in Delhi, the Revolution led by Swatantryaveer Savarkar in Maharashtra, Mailara Mahadevappa’s guerilla warfare in Karnataka and Veer Kunwar Singh’s Rebellion in Bihar. The anecdotes of India’s unyielding struggle for freedom will be played out on the airwaves by Radio Mirchi Mumbai.
