
Adamant on his stand, Kamal Haasan will release his Tamil-Hindi bilingual “Vishwaroopam” on a DTH platform first after the film hits big screens. The actor has chosen leading telecom operator Bharti Airtel’s DTH service Aortel Digital TV to premier the film. While the movie would release in theatres on January 11, 2013, it will be premiered on Airtel DTH’s Pay Per View (PPV) at 9:30pm on January 10, 2013 in Tamil, Telugu & Hindi. Earlier media reports had stated that theatre owners were not happy with Kamal’s move and had even asked the chief minister J. Jayalalitha to interfere the matter for negotiations.
