Taylor Swift sued over her "Shake It Off" lyrics yet again.

News Helpline | September, 19 2017

This is not the first time Swift has been sued over her "Shake It Off" lyrics.

In November 2015, a California judge dismissed a lawsuit against the singer that stated she stole the lyrics "haters gonna hate" from R&B singer Jesse Graham, who filed a USD 42 million lawsuit against Swift.

Recently, Taylor was in court and won a case against the former radio host who sexually assaulted during a photo shoot. She filed a law suit against the former radio host and DJ for groping her bums during a meet-and-greet photo session at the Pepsi Center in June 2013. And here we are again she has been sued by songwriters over copyright issues for her 2014 single titled “Shake It Off.”

Pop star Taylor Swift has opposed a new lawsuit claiming that the lyrics for her 2014 hit single "Shake It Off" are unoriginal.

Songwriters Sean Hall and Nathan Butler sued Swift for copying their 2001 song "Playas Gon' Play" which was recorded by 3LW, according to TMZ.

"This is a ridiculous claim and nothing more than a money grab. The law is simple and clear. They do not have a case," said Swift's representative in a statement to 'People magazine'.

The lyrics to their song include, "Playas, they gonna play and haters, they gonna hate."

"Shake It Off" -- written by Swift, Max Martin, and Shellback -- include lyrics such as, "Cause the players gonna play, play, play, play, play/ And the haters gonna hate, hate, hate, hate, hate."

Taylor Swift has recently been in news for her infamous music video of the song, 'Look what you made me do' released in September 2017.
