Miley Cyrus recently dropped the single Slide Away as the breakup song post her split from Liam Hemsworth. The singer dropped the music video online and was seen shooting underwater for the same.  

The song has been hailed as the breakup song of the year. In the video, she can be seen underwater in a gold dress and matching accessories as she processes her split with husband Liam Hemsworth and looks forward to moving on.

A source earlier told E!News, "Miley and Liam have still been communicating and it wasn't a messy split but they have decided they are at different points in their lives currently." The sentiments were reflected in the lyrics: "I'm not who I used to be / You say that everything changed / You're right, we're grown now."

Before 'Slide Away', in July Cyrus released the single 'Mother's Daughter'. The music video of that song was also making headlines, it also featured her mother Tish Cyrus.

Cyrus announced her separation from Hemsworth on August 10 around 8 months of their marriage. Liam has already filed for divorce after Miley was spotted kissing another women on her vacation.
