Joaquin Phoenix starrer Joker is set to release two days earlier than planned. The film as announced by Warner Bros India twitter account will now release on 2nd October.

The makers tweeted on Wednesday, "Joker Movie will now release in India on Wednesday, October 2nd, two days ahead of its initial scheduled release," The mid week has been set on bases of the festive release for Indian box office.

Though the acclaimed film has a big fan following it will see competition from two domestic releases.

The Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff starrer has also been scheduled to hit the screens on 2nd. Hrithik Roshan released a new poster today and announced pre-booking for WAR will begin on 27th September. The day will see a regional release from South super star Chiranjeev. The Telugu action film will also see Amitabh Bachchan as one the lead cast. Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy has been highly anticipated by fans.

Joker on the other hand directed by Todd Phillips received an eight-minute standing ovation at its Venice Film Festival premiere for the origin story and also received the Gloden Lion.

The film is a new take on the classic comic book character known as Batman's archnemesis.
