Maker of the flick Relativity Media has released the first teaser trailer for its upcoming biographical flick "Desert Dancer",which is directed by Richard Raymond.
It tells a true story of a young, self-taught dancer in Iran, Afshin Ghaffarian, who risked his life for his dream to become a dancer despite a nationwide dancing ban.
The trailer of the film sees Freida Pinto (Afshin), and her friends practicing choreographed dance moves in a suppressed society while risking their lives.
The film was premiered last year in Germany and then made rounds of the festival circuits in Ischia and Hong Kong.
Desert Dancer, which also stars Nazanin Boniadi, Tom Cullen and Marmama Corlett, is scheduled to release in the US in April.
