Actor Burt Reynolds, who made a rare public appearance for the premiere of his film "Dog Years" at the Tribeca Film Festival here, struggled to walk on the red carpet.
The 81-year-old at one point had to be given a chair while being interviewed by a group of reporters and taking photos with the cast on Saturday, reports people.com.
Reynolds was joined on the carpet by his "Dog Years" co-star Chevy Chase, whose shirt was for some reason drenched in water, and actor Robert De Niro, who started the film festival.
Directed and written by Adam Rifkin, the film is based on an aging former movie star.
