Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s high profile marriage hits rock-bottom! Couples divorce has taken the international media by storm. Fans are going crazy over social media about the divorce being a hoax but the much loved Brangelina has finally released official statements asking for privacy during these trying times.

Angelina Jolie's spokesperson also released a statement saying, "Angelina Jolie Pitt has filed for dissolution of the marriage. This decision was made for the health of the family. She will not be commenting at this time, and asks that the family be given their privacy during this difficult time."

Pitt said in his official statement, "I am very saddened by this, but what matters most now is the well being of our kids. I kindly ask the press to give them the space they deserve during this challenging time."

This is second marriage for Brad Pitt, who was earlier married to Jennifer Aniston; both met during shooting friends and fell in love. The couple tied knot soon. However, Pitt ended their marriage of seven years, in 2005.

Just a couple of months after that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie posed for a magazine cover as husband and wife. The duo later revealed that they fell in love in 2004 while shooting for an action film, Mr. & Mrs. Smith.

Angelina on the other hand has been married twice before to Jonny Lee Miller and Billy Bob Thornton!
