Billy Bob Thornton, who was once married to Angelina Jolie, says the actress is doing well following her split from Brad Pitt.

“She seems, you know, okay to me when I talk to [her]. I don’t talk to her that often though,” says Thornton, during his recent press junket for his new movie Bad Santa 2.

“We’re still very good friends, but she’s got her world. I’ve got mine” adds Billy.  

Jolie filed for divorce from Pitt in September, citing irreconcilable differences. Thornton married Jolie in 2000 and the two divorced three years later. However, Thornton admits that he still spends time with his ex.

“Once in a blue moon we come together” adds Thornton about interacting with Angelina Jolie.

“Every now and then we talk, you know? Whatever. But when people are going through their trials and tribulations I try to leave them alone unless they want to talk to me” added Billy.

He added: “In other words, I figure it’s none of my business. Unless someone makes it my business, it’s none of my business.”
As for Bad Santa 2, an upcoming American Christmas black comedy crime film directed by Mark Waters and written by Shauna Cross and Johnny Rosenthal.

A sequel to the 2003 film Bad Santa, the film stars Billy Bob Thornton, Tony Cox, Brett Kelly, Kathy Bates, and Christina Hendricks.

The film is scheduled to be released on November 23, 2016 by Broad Green Pictures.
