Due to Corona-virus pandemic, the makers of Fast Saga or F9 has issued a statement expressing regret that the film has been postponed for a year and now it will hit the cinema halls in 2021.
Fans across the globe are disappointed but Tyrese Gibson, who plays Roman Piece in Fast and Furious franchise, just took to his social media and shared his thoughts on F9 getting delayed.
He wrote, “Sorry guys!!! To our family of Fast fans everywhere, we feel all the love and the anticipation you have for the next chapter in our saga. That’s why it’s especially tough to let you know that we have to move the release date of the film. It’s become clear that it won’t be possible for all of our fans around the world to see the film this May.”
“We are #MOVING the global release date to April 2021, with North America opening on April 2. While we know there is disappointment in having to wait a little while longer, this move is made with the safety of everyone as our foremost consideration. Moving will allow our global family to experience our new chapter together. We’ll see you next spring. Much love, Your Fast Family -Tyrese Gibson aka Roman Pierce #FastSaga”
F9 is directed by Justin Lin and written by Daniel Casey. A sequel to 2017's The Fate of the Furious, it will be the ninth main instalment in the Fast & Furious franchise and the tenth full-length film released overall.
The film will star Vin Diesel, John Cena, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris "Ludacris" Bridges, Jordana Brewster, Nathalie Emmanuel, Sung Kang, Helen Mirren, and Charlize Theron.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the film's general release has been rescheduled to April 2, 2021.
