Maker of the film Lionsgate has officially announced that the action thriller “Wild Card” will be released in US theaters and in VOD on January 30th, 2015.

Wild Card is based on William Goldman's novel Heat, and is a remake of the original 1986 film starring Burt Reynolds.

The story follows a Las Vegas bodyguard with a gambling addiction (Statham), who vows to get revenge on a gangster who attacked his friend.

The film is directed by Simon West, starring Jason Statham, Michael Angarano, Milo Ventimiglia and Dominik García-Lorido with Anne Henche, Sofia Vergara, Jason Alexander, Hope Davis and Stanley Tucci making appearances as well.
