Jake Gyllenhaal's much talked about sports drama flick "Southpaw" release date finally confirmed.
The Weinstein Company will release its Jake boxing film "Southpaw" wide on July 31. This venture is directed by Antoine Fuqua and scripted by Sons Of Anarchy‘s Kurt Sutter and Richard Wenk about Junior Middleweight Champion Billy “The Great” Hope, a lefty champ who loses everything in a personal tragedy and is forced to fight his way to redemption.
Gyllenhaal is in full beast mode for this one. This is the latest project to require a major onscreen transformation for Gyllenhaal, who lost a significant amount of weight for his previous film "Nightcrawler."
Forest Whitaker, Rachel McAdams, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, Rita Ora, Naomie Harris and Victor Ortiz co-star.
