Zee Studios has confirmed their plans to revive Mr. India, the most iconic Bollywood drama starring Anil Kapoor and Sridevi in the lead, the film will be helmed by Ali Abbaz Zafar and will be made in three parts.

Ali Abbas Zafar, noted for big movies like Sultan (2016), Tiger Zinda Hai (2017) and Bharat (2019), just took to his social media profile and confirmed the film. He tweeted, “Excited to partner with @ZeeStudios_ for an epic trilogy #MrIndia! It is a huge responsibility to carry forward an iconic character loved by everyone. Currently, working on the script, no actor has been locked till now.  Once we lock the first draft of the script, casting begins!”

The official handle of Zee Studios confirmed the news by tweeting, “Proud to announce an epic trilogy #MrIndia! @aliabbaszafar @BoneyKapoor”

The film has been confirmed, and scripting is currently in progress, and the makers will announce the cast shortly. But rumour has it that Ranveer will be stepping in the shoes of Anil Kapoor and SRK will be essaying antagonist Mogambo. If this turns out to be true, then it will be interesting to see this one.

Meanwhile, Ali is expected to begin work on a female superhero flick with Katrina Kaif. His next as a producer is ‘Khaali Peeli’ which is currently being shot. It stars Ananya Panday and Ishaan Khatter. The film is set for June 2020 release.
