Vivek Oberoi wants to play role of customs officer

Actor Vivek Oberoi was present at Central Excise Celebration 2017 event here in Mumbai on Friday. During the media interaction, he expressed his desire to play role of customs officer.

He said, “Today I am happy to be here and celebrate with all the customs officials who give their best to the country. Apart from direct taxes, they generate indirect taxes from country which a great source of revenue for our development plus they curb smuggling and narcotics activity in country.”

He added, “When I interact with some of the custom officials, they are always in their attractive uniform, that’s when I feel to play the role customs official in one of my movies as their uniform is really attractive and the interesting stories which they share like how they trapped the accused, how they got tip off of a certain illegal activity or how they catch smugglers that is really fascinating perform onscreen”.

He also commented on CBFC controversy relating to banning film ‘Lipstick Under My Burkha’, he said, “Censorship should be guideline, ina mature democracy like our countrythis shouldn’t be happen and people should be allowed what they want to communicate as long as it doesn’t hurt anybody’s sentiments and doesn’t provoke any antinational feeling”.

Vivek Oberoi was last seen in Great Grand Masti and his coming back onscreen with YashRaj’s movie ‘Bankchor’.
