Bollywood actress Vidya Balan revealed the release date of much-awaited sequel of 2012’s thriller Kahaani.
Recently at the GJF Fashion show, Vidya who is seen travelling a lot nowadays says, “I am traveling a lot because all my shoots are happening out of the city. Kahaani 2 is completed and will be released on 25th November. And following that Begum Jaan will be releasing next year.”
The ‘Ishqiyaa’ actress is currently filming for Srijit Mukherjee’s RajKahini’s Hindi remake ‘Begum Jaan’. Set in the aftermath of partition, the historical drama will see Balan as Vidya Balan in the lead as the madam of a brothel, that is suddenly banged in the middle of the newly chalked Line of Control, with half in India and the other half in Pakistan.
Cladded in a beautiful black Maheshwari sari Vidya who is often seen sporting the most exotic sarees with aplomb said, “I always love handloom forever. If I may say so for myself that I am the unofficial brand ambassador for handlooms.”
The 38-year-old actress also spoke about what is freedom means to her, “Freedom means is able to make choices and live life on your own terms unapologetically specially for women. And I think freedom means that much more to us.”
Directed by Sujoy Ghosh Kahaani 2, the film also features Arjun Rampal in the lead role.
