Vidya Balan, who considers Kolkata as her second home, says she is eager to start shooting for 'Kahaani 2' which will begin next month, “I am very excited to start working for Kahaani 2. We will start shooting next month. I can’t talk much on that otherwise, Sujoy will slit my throat. But yes I am looking forward to shooting again for Kahaani 2 with Sujoy.” The actress said at the unveiling of ‘Summer Collection By Bailou, Gaurang And Vaya’
Balan has signed the sequel of the 2012 super hit thriller Kahaani’, which was based in Kolkata, starred Vidya Balan as Vidya Bagchi, a pregnant woman searching for her missing husband in Kolkata during the festival of Durga Puja, assisted by Satyoki "Rana" Sinha (Parambrata Chatterjee) and Khan (Nawazuddin Siddiqui).
Recently Ishqiya actress has wrapped up the shooting of the Amitabh-Nawazuddin starred ‘Te3n’ which is directed by Ribhu Dasgupta and produced by Sujoy Ghosh which is also shot in the city, the actress told she is making a special appearance.
The Kerala-born actress made her feature film debut as the protagonist of the independent Bengali drama Bhalo Theko. Later she did the movie Pradeep Sarkar’s ‘Parineeta’ based on Bengali novella, Parineeta by Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay.
Talking about the sentiment of coming back to the city for shooting, the actress told, “TE3N was fun because the shoot was in Kolkata and more or less the team is the same. Ribhu is very interesting director and of course, it’s a pleasure to work with Mr.Bachchan and Nawaz. It was a good team and now some sort of preparation is needed to get back into Kahaani 2”
