The Deewar actor was found dead at an old-age home in Pune in January this year

Veteran Bollywood actor Dulari passed away in January 2013 due to Alzheimer’s disease. She was 86. Sadly, not many are aware of her contribution to Hindi cinema. Her film career started with a small role in Bombay Talkies’ Hamari Baat (1943). She played prominent roles in almost 135 films including Jab Pyaar Kisise Hota Hai (1961), Mujhe Jeene Do (1963), Teesri Kasam (1967), Deewar (1975), Prem Rog (1982) and Agar Tum Naa Hote (1983). Her last film was the Sunny Deol-starrer Ziddi (1997).

Her daughter Charulata Jagtap revealed the news through a social networking site, “My mother was 86 years old and she was suffering from Alzheimer’s. She had been bedridden for over two years.”

The Cine and TV Artistes’ Association (CINTAA) had started lending her financial help after Waheeda Rehman informed them about her ailing friend. May her soul rest in peace.
