Former actress and author Twinkle Khanna spoke about  her transition from a plump nerd to a bestselling author at her second book launch “The legend of Lakshmiprasad”.

Karan Johar who was interviewing her asked Twinkle about her childhood days and she said,
“My mother used to always put me in diet.I always told her, I don’t want to fit in a size 4 dress.I want to tell all the oddballs and misfits out there you will finally reach there where no one else has reached.”

When Karan said that her book speaks a lot about feminism she said,“Feminism is about believing in equal opportunities .Anyone who is not doing that are idiots.”

Director Karan Johar also exclaimed  ,“I feel the book has the potential of a film.”
Ae Dil Hai Mushkil actor Ranbir Kapoor was present at the book launch for a book reading session.

He said,“Congratulations on your  juggernaut of a book.When I was asked to read a passage from the book I was really excited and messaged Twinkle saying that I will bring my bestest English and pat came the reply the  English is as bad as yours.”

Besides Ranbir, actress Alia Bhatt,Shabana Azmi also read some portions of the book.
Dimple Kapadia and Akshay Kumar were also present at the event.
