Post the critically acclaimed Kai Po Che, Sushant Singh Rajput returns in a quirky small town romance which pairs him with Parineeti Chopra. And to match the theme of the film, Yash Raj Films have managed to come up with an equally quirky title. The Maneesh Sharma film is called Shuddh Desi Romance.

The film will be a "fresh and very real love story about the hair-raising minefield between love, attraction and commitment", read a statement from Yash Raj Films.

Apart from Sushant and Parineeti, this "classy, candid look at the affairs of the heart in today's desi heartland" also stars veteran Rishi Kapoor, along with debutant Vaani Kapoor.

Shuddh Desi Romance is written by Jaideep Sahni, and produced by Aditya Chopra. It releases worldwide on 13 September.

We are all definitely looking forward to this romcom from the director of Band Baaja Baarat.
