
It’s almost like a dream come true to see the golden girl Sridevi walking the ramp. The curtains down for the third edition of PCJ Delhi Couture Week witnessed Sridevi walking the ramp for her favourite designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee. She looked nevertheless like an eternal beauty in a white embroidered sari desgined by Sabyasachi Mukherjee. Sabyasachi has worked on Sridevi's costumes in the movie too. We are well aware with Sabyasachi’s style of designing. He has the art to enhance the beauty be it a star on any other women in this world.
Sridevi looked absolutely gorgeous was accompanied by Gauri Shinde, director of her comeback film English Vinglish, and Sabyasachi on the ramp. where the film marks her comeback she is also very much excited with the costumes she is wearing in the film especially the sari’s. she was quoted saying, "I am so happy to be here for him. I am honoured that he has designed clothes for my movie. He is a fabulous designer and I love his clothes. I feel confident wearing them and it has been an experience working with him," The sets for Sabyasachi's show reminded one of an old English mansion at a hill station with deer heads and paintings adorning the wall, lamp shades on side tables, crockery in glass cabinets and vases on tables. Sabyasachi collection was titled as, 'New Moon'. It has drawn inspiration from five cities New York, Kolkata, Berlin, Paris and Barcelona - and consisted of Ghagra skirts, saris, lehengas, churidar kurtas and sherwanis in shades of green, nude, off-white, red, orange and brown. Sabyasachi was quoted saying, "I am so happy that Sridevi has come today and I have been her fan ever since I was a kid so this is a very special day for me. I am honoured to have designed clothes for her. My collection is inspired from the places I have visited and it is furiously fashionable."
Whereas, on the other flick Actress Shabana Azmi and designer Ritu Kumar were among others presenters at the show.
