Katrina Kaif was the most recent star to have herself shaped  in the form of a wax statue at the Madame Tussauds Wax museum in London. Her contemporary Sonakshi Sinha also wishes for the same. She said, “Hopefully one day even I can be at Madame Tussauds.”

She also congratulated Katrina for the achievement. She said, “I have not seen her statue. But it’s a really good thing that Katrina’s statue is inaugurated at the Tussauds museum.”

Having a statue at the Madame Tussauds has become a symbol of achievement for all Bollywood stars. When megastar Amitabh Bachchan’s statue was unveiled some years ago, that is when Indians came to know that such a wax statue museum exists. And someone of the stature of Amitabh Bachchan definitely deserved a Madame Tussauds statue as his accomplishments was that significant.

Then many other Bollywood stars found their way into the prestigious wax mesuem. Salman Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Shahrukh Khan, Madhuri Dixit also had their statues thereafter. When Aamir was approached for the same privilege, he turned it down.

Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar also had his statue at the museum. However, the impact that the news of Amitabh Bachchan’s statue created on the minds of Indians is no longer there due to the numerous stars present at the museum who haven’t achieved anything close to what Big B has achieved in life. Salman , Shahrukh and Madhuri can be considered legends of the industry but whether Kareena, Aishwarya and Katrina are of that stature is something that is arguable.
