On Wednesday, makers of Tubelight hosted 2nd screening of in the Mumbai in the evening at suburban theatre. Tubelight’s main lead Salman Khan, Child actor Matin Rey Tanu and Salim Khan attended the screening. Earlier, on Tuesday, They hosted 1st screening of the film which was attended by Kumar Taurani, Nikhil Dwivedi, Sajid Nadiadwala, Arbaaz Khan, Kabir Khan, Salim Khan and Aayush Sharma.
Tubelight set in a town of North India, Laxman (Salman Khan) lives with his younger brother Bharat (Sohail Khan). The two have no other family and are inseparable. Laxman's world comes crashing down, when war breaks out and Bharat gets drafted into the Army. A helpless Bharat leaves a devastated Laxman behind. News from the border only worsens, as the tension continues to escalate. Seeing the carnage around him and worried for his brother, Laxman decides he must stop this conflict and get his brother back.
Tubelight is the story of a man's unshakable faith in himself and the love for his family.
Tubelight is Salman Khan’s third collaboration after their super successful outings like Ek Tha Tiger and Bajrangi Bhaijaan.
It marks debut of Chinese actress Zhu Zhu in Bollywood and child actor Matin Rey Tangu will be surprise package of the film. There are very few instances when Salman is on a stage and someone other than him steals the show. Matin Rey Tangu exactly did that with adorable and innocent funny antics at the press conference and Salman just loved this little kid.
Earlier, there were reports that Tubelight length was cut short by 19 minutes. The earlier duration of the film was 2 hours 35 minutes and now it has cut short into 2 hours 16 minutes, replying to that Kabir said, “Usually film’s first cut is very long. Bajrangi Bhajaan’s earlier duration was 4 hours. It’s a constant process. After first cut , we again cut that, it’s called second cut and till the time film gets released , film go through trimming process but I personally don’t know from where you are getting these information”
Kabir Khan and Amar Butala also added that they have intensions to release the film in China and Pakistan but nothing concrete has happened on that front and they communicating with the local agencies and distributors for the same.
Tubelight’s music is composed by Pritam and all songs of Tubelight like Sajan Radio, Nach Meri Jaan and Tinka Tinka Dil Mera are topping the charts.
Shah Rukh Khan is doing a special appearance in the Salman khan movie and they will share screen almost after 10 years. Last time Salman made special appearance in Shah Rukh’s movie Om Shanti Om which released in 2007.
Late Om Puri and Mohammad Zeeeshan Ayyub also has key roles in Tubelight.
Tubelight is releasing on 23 June, 2017.
