
The Dabangg 2 actor joins hands with the popular soft drink brand to empower and educate youth in rural areas of the country
Salman Khan’s Being Human foundation has partnered with Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages Pvt. Ltd. (HCCBPL) to jointly promote, conceive and execute charitable and social activities. The partnership takes forward the vision of both the organisations ensuring the sustainability of communities and their welfare.
Salman, who is riding high on back-to-back hits, said he pledged his support for this cause, as he thinks education and employment are important tools for developing the country. “The training is very practical and prepares the youth for entry-level jobs. Being Human: The Salman Khan Foundation is proud to partner this endeavour,” he said in a statement.
T Krishnakumar, chief executive officer of HCCBPL said, “Our vision is to bring quality training within easy reach of the educated, unemployed and underserved youth to enhance their employability potential and bring them into the employment mainstream.”
The initiative, in association with NIIT Foundation and NGO Gram Niyojan Kendra, established its pilot centre near the HCCBPL bottling plant at Dasna in Noida and will branch out to Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Maharashtra and Odisha.
