Rahil Tondon: Another Newcomer on Board

News Helpline | September, 07 2012

This year witnessed lots of newcomers coming in Bollywood. But very few are aware about this new fresh talent Rahil Tandon who will be seen in Twitlight Productions' film Chal pichchur Banate Hai.

Just like his character, Suraj Kumar, in Chal Pichchur Banate Hain, who gives up his UK based high profile job to pursue his dreams in films, Delhi dude Rahil Tandon in a similar 'ishtyle' has forsaken all elite luxuries to try his luck in Bollywood. The only thing the newcomer is cocksure about is his immense talent as an actor. In fact, it was very early in life that Rahil realised that he wanted to be an onscreen personality.

As he confesses, "I was eight when I shared my dream with my mother." The feeling was only compounded when he made debut on stage with the theatrical musical Bollywood Love Story by Sanjoy K Roy. The first show was staged in Europe where Rahil performed live before an audience of 3000 people. Recalling his first performance, he says, "The response was humongous. The reception and applause that I received was so addictive that I knew instinctively that this is where I am meant to be."  From then on, he went to do a telefilm, Like I Love You, a feature film, Men Will Be Men, directed by Gorky, both backed by Shah Rukh Khan's production house. Now, Rahil is eagerly looking forward to the release of Chal Pichchur Banate Hain.

"The movie shows how important it is to pursue your dream, no matter what obstacles come in your way," he enthuses. Further, he strongly feels that if you choose what you love to do, everyday will be a vacation. "Because your work will give you enjoyment and satisfaction just like a vacation does," sums up Rahil.
