Indian men's hockey team captain Sardar Singh conferred with the prestigious Padma Shri Award by President Pranab Mukherjee at a glittering ceremony in Rashtrapati Bhavan.

And now for John Connection, Actor-producer and entrepreneur John Abraham is co-owner and brand ambassador of the Delhi Waveriders team in Hockey India League. Sardar Singh is captain of the team.

Delhi Waveriders is a field hockey franchise based in Delhi that plays in the Hockey India League. The owners of Delhi franchise paid an amount of $78,000 for Sardar Singh in the auction, making him the highest-paid Indian player of the league.

"I have a selfish reason for being associated with this team. I am a big fan of Sardar Singh. I want to train with these guys because I want pecks like Sardar's," says john.

John and Sardar played and practiced together on Hockey Field. We gotta hand it over to John, be it films, brands, social causes or any other interest, he has a superb eye for talent.
