
Leena Yadav ropes in ace cinematographer Russell Carpenter to shoot her next film which is being produced by Ajay Devgn.
Leena Yadav, who last directed the Amitabh Bachchan-Ben Kingsley starrer Teen Patti, is currently shooting her second film, Parched, which is being produced by Ajay Devgn and Aseem Bajaj.
sources reveal that the director has roped in Academy Award winning cinematographer Russell Carpenter to shoot her social-drama, which revolves around the sexuality of women in rural India.
Carpenter is best known for serving as the director of photography on the James Cameron directed Titanic, other than films like The Ugly Truth, Charlie's Angels and more recently, the Jobs biopic featuring Ashton Kutcher.
When contacted, Leena confirmed the news. She said: "I sent across the script to him in LA. He loved it so much that he immediately agreed to come on board. We have shot in some parts of Rajasthan and Gujarat and Russell has done an impeccable job."
The film, which is in Hindi and English, features Adil Hussain, Tannishtha Chatterjee and Radhika Apte in the lead roles. Leena plans to release the film later this year.
