Writer Kapil Chopra has filed a case of plagiarism against the filmmakers, alleging they stole his story to make their forthcoming sequel 'Jannat 2'. When Kapil saw the promo of Jannat 2 he realized it was his story, a copy of which he had left at bhatts ofc. The characters, plot and the dialogues were strikingly similar to his script. Though Kunal and Mukesh both denied when he met them. Kapil and his lawyers chose not to comment on the matter saying its under judicial deliberation. The spokesperson of the Bhatts too chose not to comment on the story.
