The 3 Idiots actor, who is known for his comic timing, will step behind the camera to make a supernatural thriller. Omi, who got stuck doing comic characters, is looking for a complete change of direction. The actor is all set to start work on his first directorial venture soon.

Omi has studied filmmaking, acting and editing at the New York University and he feels that after putting his acting skills to good use, it’s time to don the director’s hat next. Omi had an idea for the longest time and finally penned it down. He is in talks with several production houses. He is done with the scripting. Hopefully, the film will go on floors this year.
