Om Puri is all set to make his comeback to small screen with a crime based show on doordarshan. Om Puri was was last seen on small screen in Govind Nihalani’s Tv show Tamas.

According to a source, "The show is titled ‘Crime Control’ and the format involves both real and fictionalised crime. It also tells people how they can avoid being caught in such situations." 

Confirming about the news Om said,  "Yes, I will be hosting the show which touches on security concerns and how people can be better prepared ." 

He further added,  "The show will focus on such day-to-day life stories which could alert the viewers and tell them how can they take care of themselves in a better way." 

 The reason why he opted to choose this show was, he  said ,  "I haven't really dabbled in this space. It's an interesting challenge and also a good cause,"

It does seems that numbers of crime based shows  are in  on small screen, as there are other crime based shows too on small screens that are aired on different channels like C.I.D, Crime Patrol, MTV Webbed,  Channel V Gumrah, Savdhaan India.
